Swimming doesn’t come easy to me. In fact, I’ve only been a pool junkie for about three years now. It all started back in July 2005. I began training in my gym’s bathtub-sized pool (the price I pay for living in a city) for my first triathlon EVER that September. To sum up my experience: The pool lifeguard thought I was drowning. Probably coz I was kicking and punching the water as if I were the Karate Kid. Nowadays, I like to think I’m a decent swimmer—albeit, not a fast one. And I think I finally know why.
