PESHAWAR: Police say a heavy exchange of fire has erupted at an office of security forces in northwest Pakistan.
Police official Dost Mohammed says it is unclear who fired at the office of the security forces in the northwestern city of Peshawar.
He says the firing began Saturday morning and that troops were responding to the attack.
The area where the incident happened is located near the American Consulate, but police said that building was not the target of the attack.
