SIKH COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA HOSTS EVENING FOR PAKISTAN FLOOD RELIEF

A Concert for the Flood victims in Pakistan was hosted by the Sikh Council of Australia at which a glittering array of artists played memorable and popular tunes from the subcontinent.The event was held on Saturday 20th November 2010 at the Bahai Centre in Silverwater to raise funds for the flood victims in Pakistan. About two hundred fifty people from different faiths and nationalities attended the function. Notable by their presence were Hon. Lorie Ferguson Federal Member of Parliament, the Consul of Pakistan in Sydney Mr Hamid Asghar Khan and senior Pakistani Doctor Akram Hassan who has an old association with Australia’s Sikh community.
